Welcome to Year 3!
Teacher: Ms Maguire
Teaching Assistant: Miss Harris
We hope that you have all had a wonderful summer break and are feeling excited about the year ahead!
Our first half term is packed full of exciting and engaging learning opportunities. This half term, our topic is Geography, and we are looking forward to exploring this with the children. You can find links to our curriculum overview pages below; these will be updated each half term so that you can keep up to date with what we are learning.
To help your child settle into school smoothly each day, please ensure that they:
- Bring the correct school equipment, including their reading book, every day.
- Have their lunch ordered at home, where possible, even if they are bringing a packed lunch. Please do not worry if this is not possible, as lunch can also be ordered in class.
- Bring a healthy snack for break time. As the children are now in Year 3, snacks are no longer provided by the school.
- Ensure that all clothing and equipment are clearly named. This helps us to return any misplaced belongings safely.
- Bring their PE kit into school on a Monday.
These simple routines help to ensure that your child has the best possible start to each day and week, allowing them to fully engage in their learning and enjoy all that school has to offer.
If you would like to discuss anything, I will be available at the classroom door at the beginning and end of each day. If you need a longer conversation, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
Miss Harris and I are very much looking forward to working with you and your children this year. We can't wait for a fantastic year of learning, growth and fun!
Best Wishes,
Ms Maguire
