Book Bags
Infants require a book bag for their reading books. All children should have a reading folder (see stationery guidance) for their reading book and reading record.
No Jewellery Policy
The school discourages the wearing of any jewellery. The wearing of jewellery is not allowed during PE lessons and must be removed (this includes stud earrings) before school by an adult from home or when changing for PE by the child themselves if they can - school staff, for health & safety reasons, cannot remove earrings. The school takes no responsibility for the loss of, or damage to any jewellery or personal items and is unable to provide secure storage facilities. If your child has pierced ears, for health and safety reasons they can only wear stud earrings at school. Children must either remove their earrings for PE/sport themselves, by an adult at home before school, or tape them over to prevent injuries.
Hair and General Appearance
We expect children to look smart and have conventional hairstyles and colours. Children with hair which is longer than shoulder length must tie their hair back.
Elaborate or embellished hair accessories or hair bands with adornments on are not permitted in school. Children whose appearance contravenes this policy will be spoken to by staff and reminded of the school’s expectations and required to wear correct uniform.
Uniform Supplier
School uniform with branding can be ordered from Mapac directly from their website (see link) or purchased more generally - there is, however, no requirement to have items with the school logo on, as long as they meet the school colour guidelines of purple.
Please note there is a charge of £4.75* (*as at August 2025) for home deliveries on all orders under £60, alternatively you can order the uniform to school for free during term time. Orders can be made on-line by credit/debit card, over the telephone or by post.
The PTA holds regular second hand uniform and PE kit sales where good quality items of second hand clothing can be purchased at very reasonable prices.
