Stationery and pencil cases
KS2 Stationery Guide for Years 3 to 6
In KS2, children are expected to bring a pencil case into school with all the equipment they will need. Please review the attached stationery guide to see what your child will need to bring in. Children in Early Years and KS1 will have all the items they need provided to them, and should not bring any stationery items in with them unless they have a particular need for specialised equipment, which has been discussed with their class teacher and the SENCO.
Pencil Case Guidance (KS2)
You will need a pencil case large enough to contain the items below in, but this does not need to be too large! A plain coloured or translucent, flexible plastic-style pencil case is sufficient.
Bags and Folders Guidance (All children)
Be realistic about the size of the bag you bring in to school as our cloakrooms are restricted! You only need a bag big enough for the things you need for the school day: your pencil case if you are in KS2 (which could stay in your tray), lunch, a water bottle and an A4 plastic folder to hold your reading record and book.
Whilst bags and pencil cases from stores such as Smiggle look attractive, they are very expensive, large and take up a lot of desk space. Please avoid pencil cases from stores such as this and avoid large pencil cases with multiple pop-out or zipped storage areas. Please make sure that pencil cases, bags, folders and as much equipment as possible (particularly Glue Sticks) are all NAMED – children will be responsible for their own belongings!
