Design and Technology allows all children to discover new skills and areas of competence, enriching their education with practical, kinaesthetic skills with directly applicable real-world scenarios. Children are able to investigate how things function, across a range of contexts, exploring the process of design, creation and problem solving, including adaptation and evaluation. They are able then to apply their knowledge and skills in the development of their own creative projects, both at school and in their future lives.
