SIAMS Inspection
We are very pleased to inform you that our most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) graded our school as GOOD in all areas of its provision as a Church school. The inspection covers Leadership and Management (and particularly their role in embedding the school’s Christian vision), the impact of Collective Worship and the teaching of Religious Education.
The inspector included a lot of comments in her report that we are extremely proud of including “The Christian vision and motto of ‘Learning to Love, Love to Learn’ is apparent at every turn in this happy, nurturing school. This is transforming the lives of pupils and adults, enabling all to flourish”.
She added that, “All pupils, including those who are vulnerable, benefit from attending this safe and happy school in which they develop a love of learning in a spirit of kindness, forgiveness and trust”.
Other factors which were commended included our creative curriculum, strong partnerships with home and the wider community, the commitment of the Governing Body and a rapid improvement in outcomes across all areas. Throughout the day, the inspector observed lessons and an assembly, had discussions with pupils, staff, parents and Governors, looked through children’s books and analysed our School Improvement Plan and self-evaluation documents. Her assessment supported our own judgements and confirmed that the targets we are working on will help the school to go from strength to strength.
We will continue to ensure that our school lives up to its vision of Going above and beyond with Love, Kindness, Aspiration, Respect and Honesty.
